De 256e veiling omvat uitgebreide collecties en voorraden Nederland, het eerste deel van de omvangrijke collectie C. Avezaat (enkelfrankeringen en 1e-dagbrieven) en het tweede deel van de collectie puntstempels van P. van Alteren. Tevens is er wederom een uitgebreid segment buitenlandse collecties en voorraden (beter Franse koloniën), munten en prentbriefkaarten.

Napoléon III 5 centimes light green on blue in strip of 5 on cover from Marseille 24-5-1872 to Paris, very fresh and very fine
Caisse d'Amortissement 1,50 francs green on pneumatic tube cover (lettre pneumatique) locally in Paris 17-3-1931, fine (cover some imperfections). Probably the only pneumatic tube cover known with this stamp!
1860/1865, General issue Eagle 10 centimes brown and 40 centimes orange, tied by diamond of dots on envelope from "ST.PIERRE MARTINIQUE 11.DEC.60" via England (written France voie Angleterre) to Perrone, France, with adjacent red "PD" and arrival mark Calais 1.JAN.61 Cover and stamps fine/very fine but no arrival mark
French Revolutionary War British Army 1799 a complete letter from Schagen (North Holland) with the ARMY BAG circular in black, adressed to the Royal Artillery in Woolwich Kent, cat.v. £ 1500
